We
invite you to take a guided interpretative journey into the cultural
and spiritual world of Koeye and her surrounding shores. View
pictographs (ancient stone paintings), ancient village sites and
middens.
Visit the abandoned village site of Namu, where archaeological
digs indicate over 10,000 years of continuous occupation.
In the evening, enjoy a traditional salmon barbeque followed
by a leisurely stroll across Koeye's sandy beaches to the site
of the Koeye River Science and Culture Camps.
Here you will witness Heiltsuk youth celebrate their cultural
history and renew their spiritual connection to the land that
has sustained their ancestors for centuries.
